Why we've chosen these brands
Each brand brings something different to our shop. Here's why we've chosen them—and what we like about their bikes.
U.S. brand Cannondale has been at the cutting edge of competitive cycle sport for generations with bike models that have become household names. From the WorldTour-winning SuperSix EVO racing bike and the mile-eating Synapse to the versatile Topstone gravel bike, Cannondale bikes give plenty of choice for East Lothian’s riders. The Topstone’s Kingpin suspension is a particular favourite for increasing comfort and control on rugged Lammermuirs gravel.
Orbea’s impressive range of road, gravel and mountain bikes is manufactured within their own factory in the Basque Country. Uniquely, for a major brand, Orbea’s ‘MyO’ programme offers bespoke colours and component choices for their bikes, allowing us to customise each machine to every rider’s requirements. Their no-extra-cost custom paint options give 25,000 colour choices on selected models to really make your new bike special.
Swiss company SCOTT’s bikes are always at the forefront of design and innovation. With a race-bred pedigree, SCOTT’s dedication to fast and light performance bikes makes each model a joy to ride and own, whatever the price point. We have used SCOTT bikes for hire and tours over the past six years and have been impressed by their quality and reliability. SCOTT have a huge range of bikes available: from electric city bikes to children’s bikes, triathlon and aero road to gravel and mountain bikes, and every genre in between!
French electric bike specialist Moustache only make high-quality aluminium, Bosch-powered e-bikes. With so many utility, touring and leisure options, including cargo and even tandem bikes, there is a Moustache ‘Smile Machine’ for everyone!
Moustache's mission is for people to leave the car in the garage and get out and ride, and this appeals to our own philosophy. Thoughtful design and practical extras, including lights, mudguards and frame locks on many models, make everyday riding and commuting so much easier. Can’t see the bike you’re looking for?
